I am a postdoctoral researcher specialised in scientific dating, Bayesian chronological modelling and mortuary archaeology. I have a background in biological anthropology and have investigated human remains from Early Iron Age up until c. AD 1800. This is particularly useful when dating past events by 14<\/sup>C dating of human remains, as I did in PhD dissertation where I presented the first large-scale 14<\/sup>C dataset in support of the chronological framework of the Early Pre-Roman Iron Age in Southern Jutland, Denmark.<\/p>

I have since 2016 worked at the ZBSA as part of the DFG-funded Collaborative Research Centre (CRC 1266) \u2018Scales of Transformation: Human-Environmental Interaction in Prehistoric and Archaic Societies\u2019<\/a>.<\/u> I am based within sub project G1 \u2018Scales of transformations\u2019<\/u>, which is concerned with identifying chronological questions relevant to transformation research and developing tools and concepts for dealing with these.<\/p>

I am the principal investigator of the URNFIELD network project<\/a>, where we investigate an Early Iron Age funerary tradition in the German-Danish border region. The project involves a number of collaborators from Germany, Denmark, The Netherlands and Belgium and seeks to inform the public of the shared cultural heritage.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

I have a background in biological anthropology and have investigated human remains from Early Iron Age up until c. AD 1800. This is particularly useful when dating past events by 14C dating of human remains, as I did in PhD dissertation where I presented the first large-scale 14C dataset in support of the chronological framework of the Early Pre-Roman Iron Age in Southern Jutland, Denmark.
