Nordic Blade Technology Network (abgeschlossen)

PD. Dr. Berit Valentin Eriksen

The "Nordic Blade Technology Network" is an international research network financed through grants from NOS-HS (Joint Committee for Nordic Research Councils for the Humanities and the Social Sciences) and STINT (The Swedish Foundation for International Cooperation in research and Higher Education). Lead partner for both grants is Professor Kjel Knutsson, University of Uppsala.

The "Nordic Blade Technology Network" applies a research methodology that focuses on long term history and colonization processes based upon studies of lithic blade technology. It offers doctoral students and master students the possibility of participating in master classes on modern lithic analysis. Berit V. Eriksen is member of the steering group and responsible for teaching some of the master classes. Other members of the steering group are from Helsinki University and Finnish Academy of Science, Museum of Cultural History at the University of Oslo, and University of Copenhagen.

From 17/3/2020 the staff of the Centre for Baltic and Scandinavian Archaeology will be mainly working from home due to the Corona crisis. The employees can be reached under the known email addresses.
