Die Tagung im Jahr 2018 an der New York University Abu Dhabi (Vereinigte Arabische Emirate) galt der konzentrierten, kritischen Betrachtung von Greifvogel- und Falknereiabbildungen, erneut raum- und zeit\u00fcbergreifend. Das reich bebilderte, englischsprachige Buch zum Thema ist am 04. August 2020 erschienen. F\u00fcr beide B\u00fccher gilt: Es gab eine \u00e4ltere Zeit noch ohne Falknerei, aber mit Greifvogelsymbolik, wogegen Falknerei aus j\u00fcngerer Zeit nie nur Jagd war, sondern oft Symbolik mit sich f\u00fchrte. Das neue, zweite Buch Oliver Grimm (ed.), in cooperation with Karl-Heinz Gersmann and Anne-Lise Tropato, Raptor on the fist \u2013 falconry, its imagery and similar motifs throughout the millennia on a global scale. Publication in considerable extension of a conference at the New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) in the United Arab Emirates, March 5th to 8th 2018.
