Douglas Price gemeinsam mit Klaus Bokelmann und Anne Pike-Tay einen wissenschaftlichen Beitrag, in dem erstmals Strontium-Isotope von sp\u00e4teiszeitlichen Rentierz\u00e4hnen und -geweih der Fundstellen Stellmoor und Meiendorf untersucht wurden (Price, T. D.,\u00a0 Bokelmann, K., Pike-Tay, A., Late Palaeolithic reindeer on the North European plain. In: Z. Sulgostowska and A. J. Tomaszewski (eds.), Man \u2013 Millennia \u2013 Environment. Studies in honour of Romuald Schild, pp. 123\u2013131, Warsaw 2008).<\/p><p><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px; color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight );\">Da diese Pilotstudie vielversprechende Ergebnisse lieferte und die Strontium-Isotopenanalyse weitreichende Erkenntnisse zum Wanderverhalten dieser f\u00fcr den sp\u00e4teiszeitlichen Menschen hoch bedeutsamen Tierart versprach, wird am ZBSA zurzeit eine Vertiefung und Erweiterung dieser Untersuchungen vorgenommen: Vor dem Hintergrund der aktuellen arch\u00e4ologischen Gesamtinterpretation der sp\u00e4tglazialen Kulturen Mittel- und Westeuropas wird mittels einer Kombination mehrerer Methoden eine exakte Rekonstruktion des Wanderverhaltens der Rentiere sowie ihrer Umwelt angestrebt. Dazu wurden an Unterkiefern parallel die Strontium-, Kohlenstoff- und Sauerstoffisotope im Zahnschmelz sowie die Kohlenstoff-, Stickstoff- und Schwefelisotope im Dentin und Knochen bestimmt, das 14C-Alter ermittelt und durch pflanzliche Nahrung hervorgerufene Besch\u00e4digungen der Zahnoberfl\u00e4che untersucht. Letzteres erfolgte dar\u00fcber hinaus an weiteren Rentiermolaren derselben Fundpl\u00e4tze. Bei der Zusammenschau der Ergebnisse kann au\u00dferdem auf bereits publizierte Isotopenwerte an Rentier- und neu gewonnene an Pferdeknochen zur\u00fcckgegriffen werden. Da diese Pilotstudie vielversprechende Ergebnisse lieferte und die Strontium-Isotopenanalyse weitreichende Erkenntnisse zum Wanderverhalten dieser f\u00fcr den sp\u00e4teiszeitlichen Menschen hoch bedeutsamen Tierart versprach, wird am ZBSA zurzeit eine Vertiefung und Erweiterung dieser Untersuchungen vorgenommen: Vor dem Hintergrund der aktuellen arch\u00e4ologischen Gesamtinterpretation der sp\u00e4tglazialen Kulturen Mittel- und Westeuropas wird mittels einer Kombination mehrerer Methoden eine exakte Rekonstruktion des Wanderverhaltens der Rentiere sowie ihrer Umwelt angestrebt. Dazu wurden an Unterkiefern parallel die Strontium-, Kohlenstoff- und Sauerstoffisotope im Zahnschmelz sowie die Kohlenstoff-, Stickstoff- und Schwefelisotope im Dentin und Knochen bestimmt, das 14C-Alter ermittelt und durch pflanzliche Nahrung hervorgerufene Besch\u00e4digungen der Zahnoberfl\u00e4che untersucht. Letzteres erfolgte dar\u00fcber hinaus an weiteren Rentiermolaren derselben Fundpl\u00e4tze. Bei der Zusammenschau der Ergebnisse kann au\u00dferdem auf bereits publizierte Isotopenwerte an Rentier- und neu gewonnene an Pferdeknochen zur\u00fcckgegriffen werden. Da diese Pilotstudie vielversprechende Ergebnisse lieferte und die Strontium-Isotopenanalyse weitreichende Erkenntnisse zum Wanderverhalten dieser f\u00fcr den sp\u00e4teiszeitlichen Menschen hoch bedeutsamen Tierart versprach, wird am ZBSA zurzeit eine Vertiefung und Erweiterung dieser Untersuchungen vorgenommen: Vor dem Hintergrund der aktuellen arch\u00e4ologischen Gesamtinterpretation der sp\u00e4tglazialen Kulturen Mittel- und Westeuropas wird mittels einer Kombination mehrerer Methoden eine exakte Rekonstruktion des Wanderverhaltens der Rentiere sowie ihrer Umwelt angestrebt. Dazu wurden an Unterkiefern parallel die Strontium-, Kohlenstoff- und Sauerstoffisotope im Zahnschmelz sowie die Kohlenstoff-, Stickstoff- und Schwefelisotope im Dentin und Knochen bestimmt, das 14C-Alter ermittelt und durch pflanzliche Nahrung hervorgerufene Besch\u00e4digungen der Zahnoberfl\u00e4che untersucht. Letzteres erfolgte dar\u00fcber hinaus an weiteren Rentiermolaren derselben Fundpl\u00e4tze.
